Easy process – Simple blood sample from the pregnant mother and a sample of a cheek swab from the potential father
Prenatal DNA paternity testing can be used in legal proceeding when paternity of the child is in question
Exceptions
- Prenatal DNA paternity testing is not an option if the mother is carrying twins or multiples
- The mother must be at least 7 weeks pregnant
- Testing is not an option for two possible fathers who share a close biological relationship
