Non-Invasive prenatal testing

Don’t want to wait until your child is born and you don’t want to subject yourself to invasive procedures such as Amniocentesis or Chronic Villus Sampling (CVS), then non-invasive prenatal testing option may be for you.

Easy process –  Simple blood sample from the pregnant mother and a sample of a cheek swab from the potential father

Prenatal DNA paternity testing can be used in legal proceeding when paternity of the child is in question
Exceptions
  • Prenatal DNA paternity testing is not an option if the mother is carrying twins or multiples
  • The mother must be at least 7 weeks pregnant
  • Testing is not an option for two possible fathers who share a close biological relationship

Requirements – Adults being tested will need a government issued ID. A legal guardian must be with a minor child under the age of 18 to sign a consent form

Easy process – A sample cheek swab from both the child and potential father. It’s non-invasive and ideal for all ages. After collection of the DNA samples are securely placed in a tamper proof packaging, they are sent to our AABB accredited laboratory partner where the samples are processed
